We rejoice that Rev. Karel was installed as Minister on February 11. Rev. Coleman of
Peace United Reformed Church (Vancouver, WA) led the service, and the congregation celebrated with a potluck.

Rev. Karel and his wife, Emily, are natives of West Michigan. Jeff is a graduate of Westminster Seminary California, and through the end of 2023 served as Associate Pastor at Covenant Reformed Church (URC) in Missoula, MT. This November he accepted the call to the pastoral office of the URCS. His first Sunday as pastor in Sunnyside will be January 7,2024. 

For most of his early life, Jeff really struggled with assurance of salvation, and he was greatly helped by the faithful preaching and teaching of his pastors. Jeff loves getting to be part of that same work of God in the lives of others. For hobbies, Jeff enjoys playing board games; fishing; shooting; and hunting varmints (especially if it means making war on the gophers).

Youth Group for grades 9-12 began on October 4th! There are regular meetings the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesdays of Each Month from 7:00-8:30. Christmas Party will be December 20th.
